Admissions Journey

Thank you for considering Salesian College Sixth Form as the next step in your educational journey. We understand that transitioning to Sixth Form is an exciting opportunity, and our dedicated Sixth Form and Admissions Teams are here to support you every step of the way. Whether you're looking to deepen your academic knowledge, explore new interests, or prepare for your future career, we are committed to providing a nurturing and enriching environment to help you achieve your goals.

Acceptable candidates will be provisionally offered a place, subject to satisfactory GCSE grades. A minimum qualification of six 6's, including a grade of 4 or above in Maths and English and a grade of 6-9 in the intended A level subjects are required at GCSE.

Careers and Networking Event
On Friday 6 February we hosting an Alumni led twilight Careers and Networking Event for all students who have applied to our Sixth Form. Further details regarding this event will be shared in January 2026.

Registration is now closed for Year 12 entry in September 2026. However, if you would like to discuss our Admissions Journey, please contact our Admissions Secretary, Mrs Gordon, at admissions@salesiancollege.com or 01252 893000 who will be delighted to help.

Interview
All candidates will be invited to attend an interview with the Headmaster or Deputy Headteacher during January 2026.

Offer Letter & Offer Holders' Evening
All successful applicants will receive their Offer Letter before the February half term. All students who receive an offer will be invited to the Offer Holders' Evening before the Easter holiday. 

Reference
For all external applicants, we will request a confidential reference from the Headteacher of your current school before we will make an offer.

Careers & Networking Events
We offer a number of Alumni led networking opportunities to help open up your future opportunities.

Induction Day
Prospective Sixth Form students will be invited to attend an Induction Day in June after the GCSEs, where they can meet all of the other students planning to continue their educational journey at Salesian College Sixth Form.
