Residential Visits

There are many opportunities to learn 'outside of the classroom' at Salesian College, which enables students to consolidate their learning into practice. 

Every year we have a residential opportunity for the following year groups to get involved with:

  • Year 7 - Team Building (The Lake District or Wales)
  • Year 9 - WW1 Battlefields
  • Year 12 - Leadership Development (The Peak District or Dorset) and Volunteering (Lourdes Pilgrimage with HCPT)

Examples of recent and proposed residential visits include:

  • Business, Economics and Politics - New York (Sixth Form)
  • Classics - Rome (GCSE and A Level)
  • Design Technology - Tokyo 2025 (GCSE students)
  • Geography - Dorset (Year 10 and Year 12), Iceland (GCSE and A Level), Sicily 2025 (GCSE and A Level students)
  • History - Berlin (Year 10 and 11), Belgium and France (Sixth Form)
  • Languages - Paris (Year 8), Normandy (Year 10), Seville (Year 10), Barcelona (Year 12 Exchange Programme).
  • Psychology - Vienna (Sixth Form)
  • Science - Juniper House (Year 13), CERN (Sixth Form), Texas (Sixth Form).
  • Sports - USA (Football Year 10 and 11), Lisbon (Football Year 8 and 9), Portugal (Golf and Tennis - all years), France (Rugby - Year 10 and 11) Skiing (all years).
  • Zambia Volunteering - Sixth Form
