Salesians Worldwide

When you join Salesian College, you become part of a family which spans the world. You will find Salesians of Don Bosco and Salesian Sisters in over 130 countries in every continent, except Antarctica!

Don Bosco started his work for young people in Turin, but he was soon setting up schools and oratories in other parts of Italy. In 1875 he sent the first group of Salesian missionaries to South America. Since then, Salesian communities have been founded all over Europe, in North America, Australia, Africa, India, and the Far East. In 1887 the first Salesian community was established in Great Britain, and this College was founded soon after in 1901.

Wherever you travel around the world, on holiday or on business, you have a chance of seeing the face of Don Bosco, and you know you will find a welcome. We have a tradition of taking photographs when we come across Don Bosco in other countries and they are displayed on a large map of the world near the headmaster’s office.

Here at Salesian College Farnborough, we have links with the other Salesian schools in this country, but we have also met up with Salesian schools in USA, Spain, Italy and Poland.

Welcome to our Worldwide Salesian Family!
