Biology

Biology is taught at Salesian College by three dedicated teaching staff in specialised laboratories. All classrooms have full internet access and all staff have use of interactive whiteboard technology.

At Key Stage 3 pupils benefit from interactive textbook resources and will cover such topics as Healthy Eating, the Human Body and Food. Leading on into GCSE Biology remains a popular choice and the department follows the Edexcel 360 Science course (2105).

In terms of the AS/A2 Level the AQA Syllabus (1411/2411) is taught and the VIth Form benefits from online learning resources to help their studies.

In addition, there are a variety of opportunities available for students of Biology including a cell model and arthropod competition, as well as extra curricular trips to Marwell Zoo and Juniper Hall.
