 School Fees

Our current fees for 2011/2012 are £8850.  The Governors require that fees be paid by Direct Debit in ten equal installments, with the first one collected on 1st September and on the same day each month until June.   In the event that fees are not paid when due, the College reserves the right to charge interest at 2% above bank rate per month on any outstanding balance.   A full term's notice in writing of the withdrawal of a pupil from the College is required, alternatively a term's fees are payable in lieu of notice. The same notice is required for lunches and coach places.   The Governors review the fees each year and any change takes effect from the Autumn Term. Fee increases are routinely notified to parents by the start of the Summer Term.   The Governors reserve the right to increase the fees at times other than annually if circumstances warrant it.   Payment for public examination fees and all other extras will be added to each student's account.

Registration

Upon registering a pupil, a non-refundable fee of £50 is payable to cover registration procedures and the entrance examination.

Deposits

Once the offer of a place at the College has been accepted a deposit of £500 is payable which is non-refundable in the event that the place is not taken up. Half of this deposit will be credited against the first term's fees with the balance of £250 being returned, less any expenses incurred, after the pupil's final term. The cost of any unreturned or damaged textbooks will be deducted from this deposit.

Personal Accident Insurance

The College participates in the HSBC Insurance Brokers' Pupils' Personal Accident Insurance Scheme providing compensation for permanent disability or death. Cover is provided 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The cost of the Scheme is included in the fees.

Bursaries & Scholarships

A limited number of bursaries worth up to a maximum of one third of the fees is available for those joining the College in circumstances of financial need, and also where parents get into financial difficulties after a child has started at the college. Further information is available from the Bursar.   Scholarships are awarded for Ethos, Outstanding Ability and Academic Achievement to sixth form students.

Extras

Whilst the College tries to include all its costs within the annual fees there are certain extras which are payable in addition and would include (list not exhaustive) the following:   -- Daily transport to school (payable to the coach organisers) -- Lunches -- College exercise books -- Field courses, educational visits and other trips -- Instrumental music lessons (payable to the tutor) -- Public examination fees -- Materials for use in Art -- Language magazines -- Visits to the swimming pool (Year 7 only)
