Mr Berryman to walk at SHINE 2011
On Saturday 1 October, Mr Ian Berryman, Head of Drama and Theatre Studies at the College will be walking 26.2 miles in aid of Breast Cancer Research. SHINE is a unique night-time walking marathon in London, setting off from the O2 Arena at 9.30pm and taking in the Embankment, Green Park, Houses of Parliament and Canary Wharf. Mr Berryman anticipates it will take him between 8 and 9 hours to complete! Mr Berryman has decided to undertake the marathon to mark the anniversary of a close family member, and to offer support and encouragement to others whose lives have been affected by illness.
If you would like to sponsor Mr Berryman donations can be made online or via the school office in a clearly marked envelope. You can sponsor him for as much or as little as you can afford, every penny really does count.
