Salesian success in Worldwise Quiz!
On Wednesday 28 September, two teams of three Salesian students competed in the Geographical Association’s ‘Worldwise’ quiz.
The Year 11 students all performed with distinction. They managed to come first and second, despite stiff competition from Tomlinscote, Calthorpe Park and Fernhill students.
‘Team Reem’ (James Astles, Edward Whorwood and Jordan Maxwell) took first place, thanks to an impressive performance in the last round. James Astles ability to beat the opposition to the buzzer was crucial in a tight finish.
Team ‘Casino Royle’ (Cameron Royle, Oliver Dunkley and William Davidson) gelled superbly together to claim second place.
Congratulations to all the students who took part and we look forward to next year’s event, when Salesian will be looking to make it four wins in a row!
