Salesian College Mass of Remembrance

On Friday 11 November, Salesian College held its annual Mass of Remembrance in honour of those who gave their lives in war since WWI, including those old boys remembered on the Rolls of Honour in the College Hall. The service was attended by all students and staff, members of the community, parents and representatives from the military.
Mr Jerome Kellet introduced the service by remembering Private Charles Edmund Creighton, 1st Bn., Canadian Infantry who was killed in action and whose parents lived in Farnborough.
The chief celebrant at the Mass of Remembrance was Fr. Nick Gosling, Chaplain to H.M. Forces.
The Headmaster, Mr Patrick Wilson read the names of the Salesian Farnborough old boys who died in WWI before laying a wreath and the playing of the Last Post.
The Mass of Remembrance is always a special and moving occasion and a fitting tribute to those who gave their lives on our behalf. We were delighted that a large number of parents were able to attend and parents are warmly welcome at all College Masses.
