Sightsavers Sponsored Walk
The walk will once again raise much needed funds for the ‘Seeing is Believing’ campaign, which assists charities that help to counter blindness in developing countries. In the previous five years, we have managed to raise over £26,000 due to the committed support of many members of our Salesian community and through the help of ‘Standard Chartered Bank’ who have matched our donation pound-for-pound.
The walk is always an enjoyable day, regardless of the weather (but if it’s too bad we will postpone it to the following Sunday!). The informal atmosphere has proved to be a great way of getting to meet other students, parents or even teachers! It takes in some beautiful local scenery and is entirely on tracks and paths. It is also a great way to start the festive season by doing something that really changes the lives of people less fortunate than ourselves. Please visit the website for more information about how our donation will be used.
