Library Sleepover

18 students and six staff spent a Friday night on the Library floor, raising funds for the “Share The Light” charity. A great time was had by all and over £500 was raised. Thank you to all those that took part especially Mr Maher, Mr Melvin, Mrs Westland, Mrs Murphy and Mrs Wilson, without whom the event would not have been possible. We also welcomed back Mrs Christine Honeywill, who organised this event for many years before retiring in 2010. Everyone was delighted that she could join us.
The annual Sleepover had been eagerly anticipated and the boys were not disappointed….all the ingredients for a great night were there: friends, food and plenty of games! The food was generously supplied by Chartwell’s and the boys tucked in with enthusiasm – you can never have too many doughnuts or cookies!! As midnight approached, Mr Maher was a big hit with his war games in the dark…..just before lights out and sleep.
Morning came too soon for some, but replenished with hot toast, fruit and yoghurt, they headed for home. Congratulations to the boys that went on to win their football match on Saturday morning, in spite of a lack of sleep!
