Six Gold Medals for Salesian College at Regional Athletics Final!

On Friday 10 June, Salesian College won six gold medals at the Independent Schools’ Athletics Regional Final at the Thames Valley Athletics Centre.

In the Under 17 category, Harry Barnett secured gold in the hurdles, Toby Starling led the field down the home straight to win gold in the 800 metres, Richard Allen finished well ahead of the rest of the field in the 1500 metres and Jack Bull ran an outstanding 400 metres to take gold in this event.

In their debut athletics events for Salesian College, Year 7 pupils Daniel Edgar and Rory McMichael both took gold in the U13 1500 metres and the Discus respectively.

Other notable performances were Michael Try (2^nd in 100m), Joseph Torjussen (2^nd in hurdles), Sam Peddie (2^nd in hurdles), Charlie Mills (2^nd in 1500 metres), Year 7 relay (2^nd), Robert Deans (3^rd in 100 metres), Sebastian Charles (3^rd in both the long and triple jump), Joe Bibby (3^rd in javelin), Conor Fitzmaurice (3^rd in high jump), Domenico Iorio (3^rd in long jump), Lewis Rattigan (3^rd in high jump) and the Year 10 relay team (3^rd).

Congratulations to all boys involved who represented Salesian College with great distinction and pride.
