Trip to Nîmes

Recently, 31 students in Year 10 and 11 left Salesian College for Nîmes in France. In pairs, they stayed with a family and had a brilliant experience learning about French culture and improving their language skills. The students visited Avignon and its Papal Palace, the Pont du Gard and the Roman Aqueduc, the medieval town of Uzès, Aix-en-Provence, famous for being the birthplace of Paul Cézanne, the impressionist painter and on the last day they visited Nîmes, its arena and other famous monuments like the Maison Carrée, an old Roman temple.
