Year 8 French Trip to Paris
At 6am on Saturday 25 June, a group of Year 8 boys and five members of staff set off on a four day school trip to Paris. During their stay they saw many of the famous sights in Paris, enjoyed a day in Parc Astérix and visited the Stade de France, where the French football team won the World Cup in 1998. At the centre where they were staying they benefited from interacting with the “animateur” Juju, who spoke to the boys only in French and who organised a programme of activities for them in the evenings; snail tasting proved to be very popular with some! The trip was very worthwhile providing the boys with fun, lots of sun and a glimpse of French life. Mrs Gower would like to thank Mr Smith, Miss Poirot, Miss Steele and Mrs Reeve for giving up their time to participate in the trip.
