Records broken at this year's Sports Day

Records broken at this year's Sports Day

On Wednesday 29 June, the College held its annual sports day at the College Playing Fields.  On a warm day there were some fantastic performances from both individuals and house teams.  A summary of results is outlined below.

There were 12 records either broken or equalled in an afternoon of competition and for the first time in the College’s history there were girl’s races at both 100m and 200m, as well as long jump and a mixed relay.  Rebecca Fisher won the 100m, Chiemeka Okeke won the 200m and Kirsten Brown leapt to victory in the long jump.  Of the records broken on the day perhaps the most astonishing was a superb track double for Harvey Dixon shattering both the 800m and 1500m records which had stood since 1992 and 2002 respectively!
