A memorable Performing Arts Evening

On Tuesday 18 January the College held it’s first ever ‘Performing Arts Evening’. The evening was hosted by Joseph Wheatley and Alexander Morgan who helped the evening to run smoothly with their witty banter. Acts included Robbie Smith performing ‘stand up’ comedy and a monologue about an aerobics class for the over 85’s, both incidentally written by Robbie himself. There was a dance routine ably performed by Angus Dustagheer and a number of singing acts which included modern classics and songs from the musicals. A special mention must go to Sam Barker, who’s rendition of ‘Cry me a river’ was outstanding and would give Michael Bublé a run for his money! There were a number of comedy sketches performed, with Christopher Page-Tickell and Alexander Morgan having the audience in fits of laughter during their scene entitled ‘The understanding barman’. All the students worked extremely hard and must be congratulated for their efforts.
The evening raised nearly £700 for Macmillan Cancer Support and ‘Share the light’
