National Indoor Arena - Basketball Trip
On Sunday 16 January, 44 pupils went to the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham to watch basketball. The pupils enjoyed a fun and action-packed trip with an exhibition game between England and Wales kick starting the day. The pupils saw some of the top basketball players in the country performing in a slam-dunk competition which they thoroughly enjoyed. A French acrobatic basketball group performed some outrageous sequences of slam-dunking which had all the pupils on their feet. Then the main event took place, the Basketball League Cup Final between Mersey Tigers and Sheffield Sharks which was dominated by the Sheffield Sharks who won 93-65.
Many thanks go to Mr Bunyan for organising the trip and Mr Cousins, Mr Yates and Mr Froy who took their time to help on the day.
