Inter House Badminton 2011

Inter House Badminton 2011

On Saturday 8 January 2001, the annual Salesian College badminton championships took place at Farnborough Leisure Centre.  12 boys from each of the year groups 7-13 competed for both the individual trophy and also the team Inter-House competition.  A high degree of skill and effort was demonstrated and the majority of the games were very competitive.  The winners are listed below, but congratulations to all boys that took part in the competition.

Year 7             Michael Try

Year 8             George Barfoot

Year 9             Gabriel Daniels

Year 10           Robert Funnell

Senior            Thomas Cerullo

The House competition was equally very competitive. All the boys that took part in the finals worked hard to secure house points.

Furthermore, there was a mixed badminton tournament with seven pairs.  The competition was again of a very high standard, as the mixed doubles sought to be the first name on the College trophy.  Congratulations to Olivia Morgan and Jonathan Daines, Kiera Fitzmaurice and Michael Silvester, Sophie Astles and Gavin Christianson, Samuel Barker and Sofie Skouras and Sageera Thavendrarajan and Christopher Parnaby for taking part in the tournament.  The final was very competitive between Evelyn Ball and partner Conor Ketley and the eventual winners Emma Yeoman and Matthew Morgan.
