Year 7 Basketball Champions

On Thursday 10 February, the Year 7 Basketball team won the Aldershot and District League with a professional performance in the league decider between Salesian College and Fernhill School.  After both teams had gone undefeated in the league this season, this was a showdown for the title. Salesian College arrived confident and soon took the lead with a superb first quarter, leading 12-4 at the break. Captain, Rory McMichael made a good start defensively, allowing Jacob Webb, Jannik Mackel and Harry Kearsley to add more points. The 3^rd Quarter proved to be the match winner with Rory McMichael (4), Jannik Mackel (8), Jacob Webb (6), Harry Kearsley (4) and Maximilian Brennan (2) scoring freely. The final quarter was a professional performance both in attack and defence, giving Salesian College a well deserved 24-6 victory.

Well done to all the boys involved and we look forward to success in the Cup final at Yateley this Thursday.
