English Speaking Union Debating Competition

On Wednesday 30 November, Finlay Pelling and Jennifer Hudec, both in the Lower Sixth, represented Salesian College in the English Speaking Union Debating competition which took place at the Royal School in Haslemere.

Finlay and Jennifer debated against Guildford High School and proposed the motion: This House believes that phone-tapping by journalists can never be justified. Both students did extremely well and, along with Guildford High go on to the next stage of the competition.
