Great Netball Performance

On Wednesday 7 December 2011, the Sixth Form Netball Team played a friendly match against St Nicholas' School. The game started really well for Salesian with Kirsten Brown (5 points) finding her shooting range early on. In defence Chiemeke Okeke and Alice Maguire were trying to keep St Nicholas’ goal shooter and goal attack at bay. At half-time the girls were still in the contest, which was a credit to the massive progress they have made since the start of the term. In the second half, St Nicholas started to take control of the game. However, the effort and passion shown from the Salesian girls was outstanding and Sarah Hearn who was MVP (Most Valuable Performer) produced an excellent display. Beckie Wilson managed to get onto the score sheet and was a constant threat throughout the game.
Well done to all the girls!
