Salesian College unveil mural to celebrate 110 years

As the new academic year commenced, the College unveiled a piece of commissioned artwork to celebrate 110 years since the College was founded in Farnborough in 1901 by the Salesians of Don Bosco.
The artwork which is situated in the refectory was unveiled by Mrs Maureen Devereux, mother of Sean Devereux and Mr Patrick Wilson, Headmaster. Mr Wilson commented “The mural details Don Bosco with students, including Sean Devereux a former school captain who was assassinated whilst working for UNICEF in Somalia in January 1993. It is set against the background of Turin where Don Bosco began his work. It is appropriate that this stunning piece of artwork should be unveiled as we start the Autumn term and look forward to celebrating our anniversary year.”
