Salesian College make National Cross Country Finals

On Saturday 13 November, Salesian College's junior and intermediate cross country teams took part in the Regional Cross Country Finals at Beth’s Grammar School, Kent The junior race (Years 7 and 8) was first to take place, with Charlie Mills looking to impress after winning his race in the county cup. It was a tough competitive race and considering the quality of the field, the boys stuck to their task very well. Charlie Mills (8) was first over the line for the College with Henry Robinson (25). Sam Peddie (38) worked hard and Miles Slee in Year 7 came (49) and showed great determination. Thomas Field (55) and Harry Till (58) were the last runners to come through the finish line for the College. Overall the boys finished 7th out of 12 schools which was a great effort from the boys.
The intermediate boys (Years 9 and 10) were outstanding with Toby Starling (2) and Richard Allen (3). Owen Wagstaff (19) and Michael Gregory (26) applied themselves very well with William Davidson (49) and Daniel Lloyd (50). As only the top four runners scored it meant that we ended up with 50 points. Overall we came 2nd out of 10 schools which means we are through to the National Finals at
A fantastic achievement by all the boys!
