More success in Public Speaking competitions

On Wednesday 10 November, three Year 9 boys won the Farnham Rotary Public Speaking competition.  This is the fourth year in a row that Salesian College has won this competition!  This year's team was Harry Coloe (Chairman), Richard Clegg (Speaker) and Henry Jones (Vote of Thanks).

The title of Richard’s speech was ‘Are Kids interested in politics?’ The team received a cup and certificates and now go on to compete in the area finals in the New Year. 

On Thursday 4 November, Lower Sixth student William Gallagher, took part in the Catenian Public Speaking Competition at the Salesian School in Chertsey. William’s speech entitled ‘The Secularisation of the UK’ was challenging and interesting and he is to be congratulated on his excellent delivery.
