Spanish Exchange

During October half-term, students studying Spanish in the Upper Sixth and Mrs Cardona went on the second half of the Exchange Trip to Barcelona and Madrid. The students enjoyed the sunny weather, educational visits and the different local foods in both cities as well as being able to practice their Spanish Language. The exemplary behaviour of our students and the excellent relationship with their exchange partners and their families underpinned the general success of the trip. The highlight of this year was the one day trip to Madrid on the AVE (high speed train) and the comparative work on the two main capitals in Spain.
We are extremely grateful to our Host School, The Salesian High School in Sarria, Barcelona, for their warm welcome, their lessons and the fantastic barbecue organised in Martorell, a village outside Barcelona. This was a particularly brilliant way to kick off our last part of the exchange and a great chance to taste many local products. Muchísimas gracias! Moltes gràcies!
