Bosco Bees sting the opposition

On Thursday 18th March, four of our Year 7s – Zak Karimjee, Aaron White, Aakaash Edukullah and Nicholas England were the clear winners in the Regional round of the 2010 National Spelling Bee Competition, held at Cineworld, Feltham.

This year over 1,000 schools entered nationwide. The boys fought through several rounds to eventually beat the Royal Grammar School into second place by a considerable margin.

Particular credit goes to Aaron White who was the last man standing in the Play-Off section – he gained the best individual score in that round. Zak must take credit for making the Team Captain’s decision to opt for the harder spellings which carried the most points.

The Bosco Bees are now through to the semi – finals in May next term.
