Inter- House Badminton Finals 2010
The annual Badminton finals were held on Saturday 27 February having been postponed form earlier in the term when heavy snow fell. This time it was only wet so no weather interruptions stopped the 64 singles finalists from across the whole school from competing.
The results table shows the final positions and well done to all finalists as they had to qualify to reach this stage.
For the first time this year there was a senior mixed doubles league as an ‘exhibition event’. Six pairs competed and produced some thrilling matches. Well done to Badminton captain, Simon Hinton who not only won the senior singles but also organised much of the mixed doubles and came second with his partner Anna. The results are as follows:

2nd – Anna (Guest) & Simon Hinton
3rd – Kate Maguire & Josh Clark
4th – Melissa Saunders & Dominic Hayes
5th – Victoria McAnerney & Sam Green
6th – Elisha Kainth & Daniel Balmbra
Finally, many thanks to the members of staff who gave up their Saturday afternoons to assist the competitors in each age group: Mrs Honeywill, Mr Reeve, Mr Bunyan, Mr Yates and Mr Cousins.
