Salesian College raises money for children with special needs
As you are aware, last year the college raised over £10,000 at our annual PTA Spring Ball. It was decided that £3000 of the funds would be donated to our nominated charity, the Children With Special Needs Foundation (CWSNF).
The CWSNF used the money to help The Grove Primary School in Frimley set up the
Miriam Peace, Special Educational Needs Coordinator said “Reading Plus is already making a real difference to our children with special educational needs. The children using the programme are now more confident with their reading and we have also found that spelling and comprehension levels have significantly improved.”
Patrick Wilson, Headmaster commented “It is very worthwhile that we are able to help a local school with a scheme that will make a real difference to children’s educational needs.”
