Year 8 French Trip

Last weekend, forty-six Year 8 boys took part in a trip to Paris . They visited the main sights of Paris, including the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre Museum. They also had a boat trip on the River Seine from which they were able to see places such as Notre-Dame, Les Invalides (Napoleon's resting place) and the many lovely bridges over the River Seine. They also spent a day in Parc Astérix where they enjoyed the many rides. On the final day they visited the Stade de France, scene of the French Football World Cup victory in 1998. Throughout their stay they were accompanied by a French animateur who encouraged them to speak French and try out some local specialities such as snails! The boys thoroughly enjoyed themselves while at the same time getting a glimpse of French life and culture.
Thank you to Mrs Gower, Mr Smith, Mrs Reeve, Miss Steele and Miss Poirot who accompanied the boys.
