Junior District Cross Country Championships
On Wednesday 27th January, the year 7 and year 8 cross-country teams competed in the North East Hampshire District championships held in King George V Park, Farnborough.
The year 7 team were very competitive and captain, Henry Robinson, led from the front finishing in second place individually. The remainder of the team all made good contributions with the first six runners scores counting for the team position of second place. The following ran:
Henry Robinson (2) – Sam Peddie (13) – Michael Parnaby (21) – Christian Tepper (29) – Nathan Gipson (36) – Daniel Bamber (37) – Harry Till (49) – Joshua Samways (55) – Lars Lubbock (60).
The year 8 team were the defending champions. They were without the services of captain, Oliver Leatherdale who was injured. However, a fantastic team effort saw them dominate the race with 7 finishers in the top 20 which gave them certain victory in the team event. The following ran:
Eliott Broad (4) – Daniel Bonnett (7) – Daniel Lloyd (8) – Charlie Peffers (9) – Harry Pockett (17) – George Burgess (18) – Sebastian Charles (19) – Matthew Wilson (29) – Max Fox (49 with injury).
