Farnborough take the spoils on Derby Day!

Salesian College Farnborough enjoyed a very successful Saturday morning playing football against Salesian Chertsey. On a very cold morning over 90 boys played for each school, bringing together both schools to help celebrate the life of Don Bosco.

The Year 8 matches were also very tight affairs, with the A team match being drawn 3-3, with goals from Harry Pockett, Charlie Peffers and Cameron Hogg. Jamie Lambert captained the Farnborough side in the B team game and was victorious in his debut as Captain 5-3. Goals from Christopher Bates, Max Ryan, Oliver Nokes and two own goals!
The Year 9 and 10 matches were both won by Farnborough 5-1 and 6-1 respectively. The Year 9 goal scorers were Oliver Spite (2), who is showing excellent form and attitude this season, taking his tally to the season to 12 goals in 10 games. Further goals from Adam Cauldwell (2) and Oliver East. The scorers for Farnborough in the Year 10 game were a hat-trick from the impressive Robert Gladding and further goals from Matt Elmer (2) and Tom Leigh.
This Saturday Salesian Farnborough will be holding a 3-way Salesian Football tournament between Farnborough,
