Academic Information

The selective nature of the College enables us to offer a broad and balanced curriculum that goes beyond the requirements of the National Curriculum. In the pursuit of academic excellence the curriculum is under constant review in order to ensure that it not only meets current needs but also allows the pupils to achieve their full potential.

ICT facilities have received significant investment in all areas to provide appropriate preparation for a rapidly changing world. As well as the core areas of English, Mathematics and Humanities, we offer two modern languages and Latin. Biology, Physics and Chemistry may also be studied as separate subjects up to A level. All pupils take Religious Education up to GCSE.

The Learning Support Department ensures that pupils receive individual consideration and assistance as identified and required.

In addition, throughout the college we endeavour to offer Extended Learning Opportunities to all our students to improve their academic performance and challenge them to the highest possible extent.
